Enjoy our group sessions
We have groups for a range of creative disciplines.
Painting: We offer 4 tutor led groups and one self-led group in art/painting. There are limited numbers in the tutored groups, so these must be booked in a block only. See below for details.
Life Drawing: We use live models for our life drawing group, meeting for three 10 week terms a year. Self led, with mutual assistance. See below for details.
Ceramics: SPRING 2025 Unfortunately we have had to close our waiting list until it becomes more manageable.
We are lucky enough to have two kilns along with 3 potters’ wheels and a range of glazes, oxides and moulds. However we already have 75 members attending each week and there is quite a waiting list, so the opportunities to join only arise now when a current member leaves and that turnover of membership is pretty low.

Art
Art sessions in a relaxing inclusive environment. Welcoming artists own style. Tutors and some materials are provided, but feel free to bring any medium. Join in, paint and relax.
Tuesday 09:30 - 12:00 - Tutor Fran Black . Session deals with different media. Aims to teach a variety of art disciplines each week.

Every first Friday afternoon of the month - everyone welcome to do their own thing or experiment with other artists. Examples - self portraits, quick timed still life, brusho, upcycling discarded watercolour paintings, gelli printing etc…. Life drawing
An informal atmosphere, members with a wide range of ages and abilities. Tuition if required is by mutual assistance. Beginners are very welcome, as are ‘A’ level students needing life drawing experience. Easels available, and drawing boards which can be propped up against a table while you are seated. Bring whatever art materials you are intending to use and use the media of your choice.
Thursday 7:30pm - 9:30pm 3 ten week terms a year.

Ceramics
Sculpture, Moulding, Slab and Thrown pottery. Flexible groups with no set program. A great range of facilities including potters wheels, moulds, slips, oxides and glazes. No formal teaching but group guidance from experienced members. Clay can be purchased in the centre. Cost includes access to pottery wheels, oxides and glazes and firing of all ceramics.
